Farmhouse. C14 and early C19. Timber framed and plastered with slate roofs.
Former aisled hall now of 2 storeys with crosswings at each end, that to the
south being a C20 extension. South crosswing has a low pitched gable and that
to the north is hipped with red hip tiles. The northern crosswing has exposed
jetty with 2 original jetty brackets. Front has C20 gabled and slate roofed
porch. Windows in the old part are double hung sashes with marginal glazing
bars and moulded surrounds. The new extension has C20 small pane casements.
Small, off-centre, ridgeline stack and longer rear wall stack. Former early C14
aisled hall, the major part of the spere truss surviving to the north of the
present cross passage. The wing has remains of heavy crown post roof and centre
tennoned floor joists. RCHM 25.
