Lucas's Farmhouse

House. Circa 1600, altered in C18 and C20. Timber framed, plastered, roofed
with slate. 2 bays facing N with internal stack behind axis, and one-bay
extension to right. Single-storey extension to left, partly weatherboarded,
with hipped roof of red clay pantiles. One storey with attics. 7 C20
casements, and 2 more in lean-to dormers. C20 half-glazed door with simple
canopy. Gambrel roof. In left bay, chamfered axial beam. Transverse beam, and
axial beam of right bay, both ovolo-moulded. Joists plastered to the soffits.
Roof rebuilt as a gambrel in C18/C19.
