Large house, c.1815. Attributed to Francis Webster. Limestone ashlar with
hipped slate roof. 2 storeys, with attics. East front of 3 bays with portico
of 2 pairs of baseless unfluted Doric columns and entablature. Windows are
sashed with glazing bars and plain ashlar reveals. North wall of 5 bays with
central bay projecting and 4 of the windows being tripartite sashes with
square stone mullions. Over the central bay there is a gabled attic dormer.
The south front is of 5 bays with the 2 outer bays projecting. All windows
are sashed with glazing bars except for the 1st floor window of the 4th bay
which is now a fire escape. Above the central bay is a gabled attic dormer.
Inside there is a cantilevered stone stair with swept handrail and iron stick
balusters.
