House nnw 3 cottages, C17, C18, C19. Timber frame, red brick, pantile roofs,
the north east end being half hipped. 2 ridge stacks, L-plan with mid C19 addition
in re-entrant angle. 2 storeys, 5 irregular bay front. Panelled door under
shallow segmental head in south-west end. Window to north east has sliding sash
under segmental head, next a C20 casement, and a C19 fixed light flanked by
casements under segmental head beyond. South west 1st floor window has C19
triple fixed light. 2 middle windows have sliding sashes under segmental heads.
Timber frame has been encased in brick at various times in late C18 and C19,.
Interior 4 framed bays remain intact with posts, wall plates, straight braces
and tiebeams. Studded walling of cross-wall between original kitchen and hall
intact. Clasped purlin roof virtually intact and retains some closed trusses
of lath and plaster above inserted modern ceiling. Source: D. L. Roberts,
