4/87 Engine Cottage and chimney
GV II
Engine house, now house, with chimney about 20 metres to north west. Late C19 with
C20 alterations. Slatestone rubble. Slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends.
Plan: Rectangular engine house, converted as a 2-storey house. Circular plan chimney
about 20 metres to north west.
Exterior: The house is 2-storey, with first floor set back from the ground floor; the
front gable end has C20 2 light casement at ground and first floor. Left side has
door with pitched hood, first floor has two 2-light casements. Right side has 2-
light casements at ground floor and one at first floor.
The chimney is in rubble, of circular plan, tapered, with a rubble cornice.
