Detached house. C17, early C19. Limestone ashlar, tiled roof,
brick or ashlar stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 7-window front.
Double-chamfered round-arched doorway in right of two cross wings,
to centre are 2 recessed bays with 4-pane sashes to ground and
first floors, left cross wing has 2-storey canted bay with 4-pane
sashes and 3-light ovolo-mullioned window to attic. First floor
over door has stone oriel with 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned
window and 3-light mullioned window to right, attic with 3-light
ovolo-mullioned window and hoodmould, coped verges with ball
finials. Attached to right is single-storey extension with 4-light
leaded casement. Right return has reset C14 window to left in
single-storey extension, to right is one bay with 16-pane sash, to
right is 5-bay early C19 Flemish bond brick wing with 2-light
leaded casements to basement and 12-pane sashes to principal floor.
Rear has 12-pane sashes to early C19 wing with hipped slate roof,
several ovolo and chamfered mullioned windows to both floors of
west wing, early C19 stair extension has round-arched sash, east
wing has margin-pane sash. Left return has ovolo-mullioned windows
to ground, first and attic floor.
