GV II


Detached house. Late C17. Dressed limestone, tiled roof, stone
stack with moulded capping to right, brick stack to left. U-plan,
through passage between fireplaces of split-stack. Two-storey, 3-
windows. Square C19 stone porch to right of centre with 6-
panelled door, two 3-light hollow=chamfered mullioned casements to
left and one to right, with hoodmoulds. First floor has three 3-
light mullioned casements. Coped verges. Left return has 3-
light casement and C20 planked door, single hollow-chamfered
casement to first floor. Right return has 3-light mullioned
casement to ground and first floor, 2-light mullioned casement to
attic, all with hoodmoulds. Two gabled rear wings, right wing has
C20 casement and 3-light mullioned casements, left wing has C20
casements inserted into former mullioned windows with hoodmoulds,
coped verge. Central rear courtyard has tiled verandah, blocked
doorway and 3-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casement.
Interior has deep chamfered beams with stepped stops blocked, open
fireplaces and wainscot panelling to rear passage.
