Farmhouse, now detached house. Circa 1600, altered C17 and C18.
Rubble stone and dressed limestone, thatched roof with brick
stacks. Probably former through passage plan. Single storey and
attic, 5 windows. Six-panelled door in gabled porch to left, 3-
light casement to left, single-light casement, 16-pane sash in
blocked doorway, 16-pane sash in moulded architrave, second blocked
doorway and 4-pane sash to right. Four raking eaves dormers with
2-light casements, full gabled stone dormer to right with 2-light
casement, Straight joint to right of porch, build to left is C18
addition, Attached to right is single storey early C18 extension
with single recessed chamfered casement, planked door to rear and
hipped thatched roof, first floor of main range has two single
casements. Rear has planked door and two 3-light recessed
chamfered mullioned casements, 2-light and single casements, attic
has five raking eaves dormers with 2-light or single-light
casements.
Interior being renovated at time of survey (January 1986), timber-
framed partition with brick nogging to left of central blocked
doorway, open fireplace with chamfered lintel on stone jambs,
deeply chamfered ceiling beam with stepped stops. Partly exposed
roof has chamfered runner with stepped stops resting on collar, to
attic.
