Dated 1909 by H Bulkeley Creswell of London, for F Beresford Wright. Sandstone
ashlar house in Tudor style. Stone slate roof with coped gabled ends. Two
storeys, half H plan with gabled cross wings at east and west ends, and slightly
recessed central portion on south side. Small subsidiary gables on east, south
and north. Small mullioned stone windows with leaded lights. Entrance has
four-centred arch with oak plank door, set in stone doorcase comprising
pilasters and entablature with strapwork carving and date. Five stone chimney
stacks with diagonally placed shafts. Interior: Fine contemporary interior
with oak panelling, oak staircase, chimney-pieces, and plaster cornices.
