NY 34 SE CASTLE SOWERBY SEBERGHAM

Farmhouse. Dated and inscribed over entrance I & MB 1773. Painted rendered
walls with V-jointed red sandstone quoins, under graduated Welsh slate roof with
painted rendered gable chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays with right
single-storey, single-bay wing. C20 door in alternate-block surround under
keyed frieze. Sash windows in raised red sandstone surrounds. Wing has 3-light
casement window in red sandstone surround. Barn adjoining rear of house is not
of interest.
