Farmhouse and barns. Dated and inscribed over rear (now internal) doorway JB
1703 with C19 alterations. Dressed red sandstone with string course, eaves
cornice and V-jointed quoins, on chamfered plinth. Graduated greenslate roofs
(partly replaced with corrugated asbestos on barn) with coped gables and
kneelers; banded stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays with right lower
single-bay extension and rear L-shaped barn. C20 door in pilastered surround
under segmental pediment. Double C20 casement windows in C18 or C19 stone
surrounds, except single window above door. Extension has similar casement
window in C19 stone surround. Barns have plank doors and loft doorways all in
stone surrounds, and other similar openings, some of them blocked. C20
additions to rear of barns are not of interest.
