Farmhouse and outbuildings. Lintel inscribed "Thos & Ann Dufton 1763". Later
additions. Stone rubble, the house painted, slate roof. South elevation of
2 storeys and 2 bays. Bank barn to right. Outbuilding forms projecting wing to
left, projecting to rear. House has sashed windows with glazing bars and stone
surrounds; central entrance with 6-fielded-panel door. Barn has 4 cow house
doors, 1st and 3rd now windows, and winnowing doors. Gable-end and cross-axial
stack. Wing has large inserted sliding door. Rear of house has continuous
outshut under catslide roof has window with flat-faced mullion and transom, and
entrance. Barn has entrance in cheeks. Wing has cross-axial stack. Interior,
not inspected, said to have stone stair and fireplace with cornice (RCHM notes).
