Shop. First half of C19 with later shop front. Coursed squared rubble with
quoins. Graduated stone flagged roof with brick side chimney. 3 storeys, built
at right-angles to road. Part-glazed door to left of projecting window which
has 2 lights to each side and 4 to the front, all with semicircular fretted
cast-iron heads superimposed. An arched corbel table, terminating in scrolled
consoles with pendant heads, carries a timber cornice. The triangular-headed
tripartite sash on the 1st floor has cast-iron half-columns, with ornate
capitals and barley-sugar twist, to jambs and mullions and a low cast-iron
railing to the projecting sill. In the gable above is a single
triangular-headed sash with a bracketed cast-iron window box. The barge-boards
(with cusped trefoil decoration) and finial survives as does the bracketed
cast-iron guttering. The rear of the building has contemporary cast-iron -
railings with iron-twist, quatrefoils, and fleurs-de-lis.
