House with attached barn, dated 1714 with later additions. Limewashed rubble
walls. C20 reproduction slate roof with corniced stone end chimneys. 2
storeys, 2 bays with lower entrance bay to right (under same roof as barn); C20
part-glazed door has initialled and dated lintel with small window to 1st
floor. Main part of house has 2 paired-sash windows to each floor (sashes are
later C18 replacements, but in original frames). Internally, windows have
fluted pilaster mullions, panelled shutters, and window seats. Panelled heck
with octagonal post. Oak doors are mostly late C18/early C19 panelled, but 2
earlier C18 panelled doors with reeded rails and stiles survive upstairs.
Staircase has 2 turned balusters per tread and a ramped, squared, handrail.
Late C18/early C19 8 bay threshing barn of coursed rubble has graduated slate
roof with stone coping and kneelers to end. Central wagon door with segmental
head. Later, projecting extensions to front are not included.
