Original farmhouse, dated 1694, now used for storage; barn/byre added to left
around end of C18 and present kitchen added to right early C19. Farmhouse of
limewashed coursed rubble, C17 part is built on massive plinth. Present
graduated slate roof probably c1900; single C17 corniced stone chimney. 2
storeys. 3 bay C17 building has central planked door with initialled and dated
lintel; single fixed window with glazing bars to each side and 2 above, all C18
except that to right of door which is larger early C20 insertion (original
blocked C17 single light window surround survives to right). 2 bay early Cl9
addition to left has later door; single sash with glazing bars has gabled dormer
above. Internally, C17 fireplace survives with moulded lintel supported on
brackets; original flagged floor and chamfered oak beams. Projecting stone
spiral staircase to rear is semicircular internally but squared off externally.
Byre of coursed rubble with corrugated roof.
Present farmhouse (c1900) to right is not included.
