Boatshed. Mid C19 with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble with brick
dressings. Hipped slate roof with ridge tiles.
Plan: 2-storey building facing on to the beach, with a slipway at the front and at
the right side; the boatshed is at ground floor, with lofts over, probably originally
net and sail lofts. There is a rear wing to left, for storage sheds. Built into the
bank at the rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys, nearly symmetrical 5-window front. Ground floor has four 2-
light window openings with wooden lintels and C20 windows; second from left are plank
double doors with wooden lintel. At first floor there are five window opening, the
second from the left and the second from the right with lower cill levels, blocked
in. At the front there is a slipway in pitched slate, and similar slipway along the
right side. The right side has two window openings at ground floor, one small and
one large with shutters and diagonal set wooden stanchions and central wooden
mullion. The left side is rendered with C20 double doors at ground floor and C20
window at first floor. At the rear, the building is rendered and built into the
bank. There are three plank doors and one C20 window. There is a small single
storey range of sheds to right with C19 double doors.
