Former stables. Dated 1826 over entrance, for the Brisco family at Crofton
Hall. Calciferous sandstone ashlar on chamfered plinth with raised quoins and
string course. Central bay with Ionic pilasters and pediments. Graduated
hipped greenslate roof with central wooden bellcote surmounted by weather vane.
2 storeys, 7 bays. Large central plank doors in quoined surround with segmental
arch; Venetian window above. Pediment formerly held clock face, now removed.
Flanking symmetrical bays with panelled doors in quoined surrounds.
Painted-over sash windows above have radial glazing bars in round-headed
arches. Unglazed openings with stone architraves.
