4 houses, now 2 shops and 2 houses. Early C19. Painted snecked sandstone
rubble with flush quoins on chamfered plinth. Welsh slate and C20 tile roof
with rebuilt brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, single bay each with cellars. 3
steps up to C20 doors in painted stone surrounds. Sash windows in painted stone
surrounds. No. 56 has C19 bow shop window with glazing bars. No 54A has early C20
shop window. Wrought-iron rails around drops to cellars. Listed partly for
G.V. with Nos 62-66 King Street.
