Malt house; later uses include shop and parish room. Dated WC 1825, with later
alterations and additions. Slatestone and granite rubble with granite quoins.
Hipped slate roof with ridge tiles.
Plan: Long rectangular building with outshuts along the left side.
Exterior: 2 storeys; front end has double doors at ground floor; segmental arch from
former door opening above with datestone. First floor has 2-light 6-pane casement
with granite jambs. The left side has two single storey outshuts with doors and
varied C20 windows, with a 4-light C20 window to the front of the outshut. At first
floor level there is a similar 2-light casement and 2 rows of square pigeon holes,
blocked. The right side has one ground floor window with iron and wooden stanchions
and shutters, with dressed stone segmental arch and keystone; first floor 2-light
casement. The malt house is built into the bank towards the rear with a 2-pane light
with stone jambs at upper level.
