- of Roskestal Farmhouse
GV II
Former house, now a farm building. Possibly C17, remodelled in the C19. Granite
rubble with granite dressings. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends.
Plan: Small L-shaped plan (now 1 room). Originally probably 2 rooms, at the front
(evidence for fireplace in right-hand room) and a pantry outshut behind the right-
hand room.
Exterior: Single storey (possibly originally there were small windows under the
eaves to light chambers mostly in roof space). 3 windows east-south-east front with
doorway right of middle. C17 chamfered window opening (possibly insitu) on the left.
Other openings are probably C18 or C19.
Interior: Simple limewashed and partly plastered interior.
