3 adjoining barns. C17 remodelled and extended in the C19. Granite rubble with
granite dressings. Mostly grouted scantle slate roof, somne parts are replaced with
corrugated asbestos and dry slate. L-plan roofs, with gable ends; hipped at the
outer angle.
Plan: L-shaped plan. Original C17 range at the front (facing south east), extended
circa early C19 with 2 barns in 2 phases at right angles behind the right-hand side.
The left-hand (rear) walls of the C19 barns are built against the bank.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Elevations virtually unaltered since the C19 except for some
C20 enlarged openings. South-east front of original range has 2 complete C17
chamfered window openings (ground floor middle and left) and a chamfered jamb on the
left-hand side of a widened doorway towards the right. (There is another C17 doorway
into the left-hand gable end). C19 loading doorway at first floor left of middle;
another loading doorway at the left-hand end, approached by a flight of stone steps,

loading/winnowing doorways (doorways opposite in rear wall) and very small window
openings. Many of the openings have old ledged doors and there are some old small-
paned windows. Lean-to on the right of the C19 barns has a reused C18 round-headed
door (possibly formerly from the house).
