7/85 Higher Boskinning Farmhouse and
- front garden walls
GV II
Farmhouse and front garden walls. Probably C17 remodelled in the C18. Granite
ashlar. Grouted scantle slate roof sweeping lower at rear with dressed granite
stacks over the coped gable ends with moulded granite kneelers.
Plan: double depth plan with 2 rooms at the front (parlour left and kitchen right)
and cross passage between leading to central stair between rear service rooms within
integral outshut.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window east front with central doorway. C20 door
and C20 4-pane horned sashes.
Interior: C18 dog-leg stair with column-turned balusters to the landing balustrade;
probably C17 chamfered fireplace lintel and C18 bowtell moulded beams in left hand
room, and some old window shutters. Some early C20 floor structure but roof
structure possibly C18 (not inspected).
Rubble walls to rectangular garden at the front. Granite monolithic gate piers.
