Farmhouse. Circa late C17 or early C18. Rendered and painted stone rubble and cob,
partly slate hung. Corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends replacing the earlier
thatch. Stone rubble end stacks.
Plan: Double depth plan: entrance near centre with two principal rooms to front
heated by end stacks and narrow service rooms to rear in integral outshut. The
partitions of the front rooms may have been altered; the entrance is through a C19
porch which also functions as a well house, directly entering the larger right hand
room. The smaller room on the higher left hand side is probably the parlour. Ground
slopes down to right.
Exterior: Two storeys. Almost symmetrical 3-window front. C19 entrance porch and
well house; stone rubble with slate roof, gabled on left and hipped on right with
late C19 or C20 panelled inner door. Flanked by two C20 windows with 3 similar
windows on first floor.
Interior: Fairly thin slightly chamfered wany floor joists. Fireplaces blocked with
C20 grates. First floor not inspected.
