House. Early to mid C19, enlarged. Uncoursed killas rubble with granite
quoins and dressings, scantle slate roof, brick chimneys. L-plan, with rear
extension. Two storeys; the principal elevation, facing south, is of 3 bays,
with a 1st floor band and 12-pane sashed windows on both floors, all
furnished with internal shutters; the principal entrance is in the longer
east side, which has a doorway in the 2nd bay with reeded surround,
panelled door and overlight with diamond pattern glazing, to the right of
this 2 widely-spaced 16-pane sashed windows at ground floor and three 12-
pane sashes at 1st floor (not aligned with those below). Hipped roof with
chimneys at the side-walls of the front range and on the ridge of the
wing. Rear (to courtyard) has inter alia a round-headed stairwindow.
Interior not inspected, but said to contain a fine curved staircase.
