scored render and the rear slate-hung; slate roof (part slurred). Rectangular
plan, divided into 2 halls-adjoining pairs. Two storeys and 4+4 bays; rusticated
pilasters at the corners and the central junction, and a moulded plaster string-
course; each pair is symmetrical: coupled doorways in the centre, with pilaster
jambs, plain frieze and dentilled cornice, and recessed doors (up one internal
step) with overlights (altered, except No.3, which has margin panes); each house
has one window at ground floor and 2 above, that over the door narrower, all
with shouldered architraves and raised moulded sills, and mostly 4-pane sashes

with projecting eaves, a ridge chimney at the junction and another chimney at
the right-hand end wall. The rear has sashed windows mostly of 12 or 16 panes,
