Frame Farmhouse

House. C17. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with concrete tiles. Main range
of 4 bays facing E, with internal stack against front wall, and right wing
extending forwards by one bay, forming an L-plan. One original stack and one
C20 stack to right,and C20 single-storey extension with felted lean-to roof
beyond. 2 storeys with attics and cellar. 2 C19 sashes and one C20 casement
on ground floor, 2 C19 sashes on first floor. C20 half-glazed door in early C19
doorcase with dentilled open pediment on simple scrolled brackets. Roof hipped
at left end. 2 hipped dormers to rear. Heavy pegged frame, mostly plastered.
Joggled butt-purlin roof. Large wood-burning hearth reduced for C20 grate.
