Cottage formerly for gamekeeper, on Trevarno estate. Datestone 1882. Granite and
killas rubble, dressed granite quoins, jambstones, sills and lintels. Dry Delabole
slate roofs with crested clay ridge tiles. Brick chimneys over the gable ends and
shaped wooden barge boards at the gable ends of the front part including the porch.
Plan: 2 small parallel ranges with parallel roofs, the front range wider comprising 2
equal front rooms with presumably a cross passage between leading to probably 2 rear
rooms.
Single storey. Symmetrical 2 window east front with central gable ended porch with
shouldered-arched-headed doorway and at either side paired 2-pane horned sashes in
chamfered granite openings. Ledged top-glazed door.
Interior not inspected.
A complete late C19 estate cottage, well proportioned and well detailed.
