Coachmans cottage and adjoining building. Circa mid-C19 and circa late C19. Dressed
serpentine brought to course, dressed granite quoins, sills, mullions and window
heads adjoining range, left, is painted rubble. Scantle slate roof with gable ends
and axial dressed stone chimneys. The south gable, one dormer and porch gable have
ornate wooden barge boards with alternate cusps and roundels, 3 gabled dormers.
Long rectangular range incorporating earlier part now used as garages, left and
converted to accommodation and extended to the right in the late C19. Main
accommodation right, comprises 3 rooms to the left over a basement and reception
room to the right with entrance vestibule between. Further accommodation to left of
this, of 2 rooms with vestibule between.
Single storey. Roughly west front. Wide carriage or garage openings at left; 6
window accommodation front on right. Principal features are the 3 gabled dormers
left of the main entrance; gabled porch on rustic wooden poles; diamond panes top-
glazed 4 panel door and the 3-light diamond pane leaded window to the right of the
porch. The south gable end overlooks the principal driveway and has 4-light canted
bay window with leaded diamond panes.
Interior not inspected.
One of the buildings associated with the former Bosahan House, demolished by fire in
the 1950's.
This building forms part of a planned group on 3 sides of a cobbled courtyard.
