House and adjoining cottage. Circa late C18 or early C19. and circa mid C19. Painted rubble walls and rendered cob to upper floor of the front. Cottage (Wren's Roost) has asbestos slate roof, other house has wheat reed thatched roof. Brick chimneys over gable end left; over hipped end right and over party wall.
Plan: Double-depth plan. Cottage has 1 room at the front and probably 1 room
behind; entrance leading to stair on the right. House has 2 rooms at the front
flanking an entrance hall leading probably to stair between rear service rooms.
Exterior: 2-storeys. Overall 4 window south-east front. Cottage on the left has regular 2 window front with doorway under right-hand window. Panelled door with overlight. Original 12-pane hornless sashes. House has nearly symmetrical 2 window front with doorway approximately central to fenestration. Old 4-panel door with top panels later glazed, 16-pane hornless sashes.
