Pumping beam engine house part of Wheal Kitty Mines, disused. Circa mid-late C19.Killas and granite rubble with granite dressings. Brick arches over principal
openings, wooden lintels over the other openings. Brick to upper stage of chimney.
Plan: Rectangular plan-with round chimney clasping the rear left-hand corner. No surviving wooden floors or roof structure. Cataract pit. An engine used at Wheal Kitty Mine survives in the Science Museum.
Exterior: 3 storeys. Unaltered and virtually complete elevation. Front (bob) wall has central round-headed doorway. Rear gable wall has large round headed cylinder doorway end round-headed window opening to each floor above. Right-hand (nearside) wall has 4 round-headed openings and 2 small openings. Left-hand (offside) wall has doorway on the right and small opening to each of the upper floors.
Interior: No surviving machinery (see plan).
