reorganised and modernised in late C19. Plastered exterior comprising brick to
first floor with cob-nogged framing at first floor level, brick stacks and thatch
roof.
A 2-room plan cottage facing north and built onto the right (western) end of an
early C16 house later subdivided and now occupied by The Old Bakery (q.v.) and Ham
Cottage (q.v.) The rooms were served by end stacks with that to right projecting.
The rooms have now been knocked into one room. Late C19 rear block projecting at
right angles. 2 storeys.
Nearly symmetrical 2-window front of C19 and C20 casements with glazing bars.
Roughly central front doorway now contains a C20 glazed door and contemporary hipped
and thatched hood. Roof is hipped to right and continuous with Ham Cottage
adjoining to left.
Interior shows plain carpentry detail and the oldest joinery detail is late C19 e.g.
the stairs. Roof of main block replaced circa 1970.
