House. Late C17, with additions probably of early C19 and sane C20 altera-
tions. Painted stone rubble, partly rendered. Slurried slate roof with
axial stack slate weathering.
Plan: 2-room plan, with larger room to left and smaller parlour to right;
each room is heated from the axial stack with back to back fireplace, baffle
entry against the stack. Probably in the early C19, an outshut of single
storey with loft was added to the rear of the room to right and to the rear
of the stack; there is a smaller single storey outshut to the rear of the
room to left.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 2-window front; all windows are C20 2-
light casements. Ground floor has gabled porch with single light to each
side, inner C20 door. Window at ground and first floor to right; to left
there is a C20 half-glazed door and window at ground and first floor. The
doorway may have been inserted in the Cl9, when the house was occupied as
2 houses. Left end blind and rendered. Rear has outshut to left of one
storey and loft, 3-light window with timber lintel and VR letterbox set in
the wall. Small single storey outshut to right with small 2-light casement;

and 2-light casement with timber lintel at first floor.
Interior: Room to left has beams with narrow chamfer, roughly hewn; floor
the chamfered feet of theprincipal refters are visible.
