Farmhouse. Mid-C18. Coursed squared gritstone with gritstone
dressings. Red brick. Plain tile roofs with brick ridge and
gable stacks. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Two
storeys. South elevation has in the centre a tall staircase
window with flush square section surround and three transoms.
The top and bottom lights are blocked. To the left is a C19
casement window under a stone lintel, with a C19 casement window
above. To the right is a doorway with stone lintel and
chamfered surround. C20 door and open wooden porch. C20 window
to right with stone lintel. 2-light C18 window above with
square section flush mullion and surround. Lower, C19 brick and
stone range attached to south east. Ground floor has two C20
casements and a doorway with lean-to porch. One C19 casement
above. Lower range of outbuildings attached to west has moulded
eaves cornice. Ground floor has a cart entrance partly
underbuilt, a doorway with stone lintel and a window with stone
lintel. C19 casement above, raised in C20 with flat roofed
dormer. East gable end of house, to road, has a 2-light square
section flush mullion window to ground floor, first floor and
attic. Inside is an C18 staircase around a square well, with
wavy splat balusters.
