House. Late C17 - early C18, with some later alterations of C19 and C20. Stone
rubble, rendered. Corrugated iron roof with gable ends stacks, the stack to right in
rubble with shaped top, rendered.
Plan: 2-room plan, with hall/kitchen to left and parlour to right, each room heated
by a gable end stack. The entrance was formerly to a passage, with the parlour being
a smaller room to right; the partition wall has been removed, and the entrance is now
directly into the room to right. Small probably C19 lean-to at the right end.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 3-window range. Ground floor has 2-light 3-pane
casement to left with L hinges, and single 6-pane light. Open-fronted porch with
pitched corrugated iron roof and plain inner door; 2-light 3-pane casement with L
hinges to right. Attached to right a single storey lean-to with 4-pane light to front
and C20 window to side. At first floor there is a 2-light 4-pane casement, 6-pane
light and 2-light 6-pane casement with L hinges. Left end blind.
Interior: Straight stair inserted to the rear of the former passage. Both fireplaces
rebuilt, the one to left formerly with an oven. Parlour has roughly hewn chamfered
beams.
