Bridgekeeper's house, at entrance to Tees Transporter Bridge (q.v.), 1911 by
G.C. Imbault (Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Co. Ltd.), engineer;
constructed by Sir William Arroll & Co. Ltd. Red engineering brick; Welsh
slate roof. 2 storeys, one window. Boarded door and overlight, under
concrete lintel, at right. Windows with altered glazing, concrete lintels
and sills. Chamfered left corner has bronze tablet, recording opening of
Bridge, by Prince Arthur of Connaught, 1911, on ground floor; clock face on
first floor, below short embattled parapet. Similar 2-bay left return, and
l-bay right return. Included for group value.
