Formerly a farmhouse, now 2 cottages: dated 1686 with C20
alterations. Coursed squared buff sandstone rubble, Kerridge
stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 2 gable brick chimneys. 2-storey,
4-bay front. Left end bay has added gabled porch. To right in lower
storey are 2 long rubble hood moulds, to left above a restored 5-light
stone mullioned window and to right above a C20 door and casement.
Above are 2, 3-light windows (one with restored mullions) with rubble
hood moulds in barge-boarded half dormers. Central plaque reads
"Rodger Brooks and Ellen his wife Erected his house in the 24 years of
his life Ano Dom 1686."
