Barn. c. 1707-1712 (date of Gawsworth New Hall q.v.). Red Flemish
bond brick with stone slate roof. Two storeys. Drive front: 9 bays
with projecting plinth. Central basket arch with raised bricks at
level of springing. Band above across whole of front. Four ground
floor bays to either side with flat arched heads of gauged brick,
mostly blind with vertical breather slits to upper centres. Similar
arrangement to 9 first floor bays. Some ground floor windows have C19
and C20 glazing inserted. Additions at right and left and rear.
Interior: Roof trusses of tie beams with king posts bearing angled
braces.
