Farmhouse. Mid C17 with late C18 and C19 additions and alterations.
Timber framed with rendered infill and rubble and Flemish bond brick
additions with stone slate roof. Two storeys. Entrance front:
Timber framed gabled wing to left with projecting plinth and small
framing to ground floor with 3-light C19 casement window. Jettied
first floor with moulded bressumer and central C20 5-light window in
small-framed walling. Gable has central king post and chevron
strutting. Right hand return of gabled wing. Small framing to both
floors and angle braces at right and left. Three-light ground floor
window with C20 porch at right and blocked 7-light first floor window
with ovolo-moulded timber frame. To right of this wing is an C18 and
C19 addition with scattered fenestration. Left hand return of wing:
Coursed rubble with ashlar quoins at right and two bays with door to
left and projecting left. Rear: Flemish bond brick and rubble.
Gable at right with 3 and 2-light ground floor windows and C20 first
floor window. To left is two-bay portion of brick with door at left
and 3-light cambered-headed window to right. Two and three-light
cambered headed casements to first floor. To left of this is a stone
and brick 3-light ground floor window with cambered head and 3-light
window above.
