SJ 87 SE GAWSWORTH C.P. (Off) PEXHILL ROAD

Farmhouse. Early C19. Red Flemish bond brickwork with slate roof.
Four-room plan. 2 storeys. Entrance front: Projecting plinth,
probably of later brickwork. Three bays symmetrically disposed.
Central doorway with skewback arch and fanlight. Ground and first
floor cast-iron casement windows to either side of 7 x 5 panes with
intersecting glazing bars at top. Former central first floor window
of 5 x 5 cast iron casement panes now replaced by two-light wooden
casement lights (the original retained, however, as fencing to cabbage
patch). Left hand reveal: Ground floor window of 7 x 5 cast iron
casement panes with intersecting glazing bars as at front. Similar
ground and first floor windows at rear.
