Vale Royal Abbey.

Stable block, now housing. 1828. Red standstone ashlar and
whitewashed brick with slate roof. Two storeys. Entrance front:
Seven bays with gabled slightly projecting wings to centre, left and
right each with a shaped gable. The lateral two contain stepped
3-light windows. The central one a 3-light window with a Tudor hood
mould and circular clock face to the gable above. All the gables have
moulded kneelers and coping stones. The ground floor has a central
doorway with a pointed arch which is now blocked and contains a
2-light C20 window. To either side one C20 window set in chamfered
surrounds which originally had similarly moulded mullions and
transoms. Tudor hood moulds over.
