No 3 is a circa C17 or earlier timber-framed cottage encased in red brick in
C18. Plain tile roof with gabled ends with exposed timber framing. Brick
dentil eaves cornice. Two storeys. Two window range. Small three-light case-
ments with glazing bars, ground floor in segmental-headed openings. Left-hand
doorway replaced with window. Centre right hand plank door and C19 or C20
brick porch. Mid C19 brick wing right hand (north), two storeys, one window
range. Arden Cottage adjoining left hand (south) circa early C19 red brick,
two storeys, one window range, small casements and plank door, lower plain
tile roof.
