Row of houses built for the minor canons of Rochester Cathedral.
1736. Brick, with Kent tile hipped roofs. Each house with
entrance and stair to left, under double valley roofs, with one
large stack to alternate ridges. 3 storeys and basement with
area. Each house with a 3-window front; parapet with dentilled
cornice; plat band between floor. 12-pane hornless sash windows
with exposed frames under rubbed brick flat arches throughout.
Doorways (approached by steps) with simple moulded surround,
canopy, panelled door and rectangular overlight. Rear: 2nd
floor: 2-light casement windows with transom and glazing bars;
1st floor: 12-pane sashes under depressed window arches. Some
casements.
