Farmhouse, early C16 origins with later alterations and additions.
Red brick, in Flemish Bond, with concrete interlocking tile roof. 2
storeys, 4 bays. 2 gables (east) at the south end of a long block
complete an "L" shaped plan. Oak boarded, semi-circular headed door,
with false strap hinges, in recessed reveal at north face of "L"
angle. Flush, mainly 3-light casements, with glazing bars and either
flat cambered or segmental arches. 2-course-deep brick band at first
floor level. Original oak wallplate and rafters exposed at eaves. An
area of multi-strutted gable timbering shows over added wing north.
Barge boards to gables.
Interior: Early C16 style moulded main beams and deep stop-bevelled
ceiling joists.
