1/28 Farm building at Manor

Multi-use farm building, late C17 with C19 alterations. Brick-nogged
timber frame and brickwork with tile roof. 2 storeys. 4 truss-bays
north-east and 5 truss-bays south-west, completing an "L" shaped plan.
The north-east section has twenty-three panels, in small framing, all
above first floor level. This section also has some timber framing at
the rear (north-west), half-heck and full height ledged and braced
doors and hopper-light windows. The south-west section is of brick
but there is some timber framing at the rear (north-east). There are
round pitch holes, with stone sills, at loft level.
Interior: An oak studded door, in a heavy dowelled frame, in the
north-east elevation, leads to th open loft staircase. At loft level
there are trusses with struts from tie beam to lower purlins and
collars at upper purlin level. The purlins, wind braces and ridge
trees are original.
