Farmhouse with attached farm buildings. Early - mid C19 with some later alterations.
Slatestone rubble; upper level of the house rendered. Slate roof with ridge tiles
and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts. The farm buildings are in
slatestone rubble; corrugated iron roofs with gable ends.
Plan: The farmhouse is double depth plan, with larger room to front left and smaller
room to front right, each heated from a gable end stack. Shallower service rooms to
rear. The farm buildings are attached at the left side; they form 3 parallel ranges,
with 3 gable ends facing the front, of different widths; the farm buildings are in
Gothic style.
Exterior: The farmhouse is 2-storey, a nearly symmetrical 3-window front. First
floor has three 16-pane sashes with cambered arches. Ground floor has 16-pane sash
to right and left with central C20 glazed door.
Three gable ends to left, the central one narrowest. Gable end to right has triple
window with triangular heads to the lights, with lattice glazing and relieving arch;
above a central triangular-headed light with lattice glazing and a triangular-headed
louvre to each side. The central gable has a blind pointed arched window, with 4
panes at the top. The end gable to left has pointed arched window at the apex of the
gable with ventilation louvres and a pointed arched window below.
Rear of the house has 16-pane sash to right and left at first floor.
