Former school, now house. 1857 for Lord St John. Chequered brick with some stone
dressings. Modern tile roof. T-plan. South wing 2-storeys, North wing one-storey
with C20 attics. Central ridge stack with 3 octagonal flues to South wing. East
elevation projecting wing: canted bay to ground floor with mullion and transom
window; mullioned 2-light window to first floor with moulded label; attic level has
datestone with "S" below a coronet. Recessed wing: 2 mullion and transom 5-light
windows with moulded labels, central projecting gabled porch with Tudor arch to
door. Three C20 gabled dormers.
