GV II
Bank barn used as shippon and hayloft. Possibly early C19 reusing stonework from
earlier demolished Barton house. Rubblestone with large granite quoins on right-hand
corner and to openings. Galvanised roof with gable end on left and gable to front on
right. 2 storeys on east front. Stable plank door on left beneath timber lintel
with small slit opening towards gable end. Beneath gable on right, plank door
beneath reused hollow chamfered granite lintel. Rubblestone and granite steps on
right to higher ground to side and rear. Plank door to opening in right-hand side
wall. Included for group value with house.
