Farmhouse. Circa early C17. Rubblestone with rag slate roof with hipped end on left
and gable end on right. Rendered rubblestone stack with rendered rubblestone and
brick shaft in left hipped end. Reduced rendered rubblestone stack to right of
centre. 3 room and blocked through passage plan. Staircase projection to rear
removed. C20 outshut extension to rear. 2 storeys regular 4 window front.
Ground floor with late C19 3-light casement to left. C20 plank door with rendered
lean-to porch with slate roof. To right, late C19 3-light casement in granite
chamfered surround with top of 3 mullions remaining. Slate hood above. To right,
late C19/C20 2-light casement. Above, late C19 2 and 3-light casements.
Interior C20 staircase in wide cross passage. Lower room with ceiling beams
renewed. Hall with heavy chamfered ceiling beams. C18 2-panelled doors with strap
and HL hinges throughout. Roof of 8-bays. Heavy principals with feet cranked at a
reflex angle dying into side of wall. Cambered and chamfered collars, halved, lapped
and pegged.
