House. C17 or earlier. Timber framed construction, some exposed to front
elevation, parts of front ground floor rebuilt in brick. Colourwashed
roughcast render. Clay tile roof. 3-room plan, 2 storeys and attics.
Front(N) elevation: ground and first floors each have 3 3-light casements,
ground floor RH one leaded, others with glazing bars. Front door between 2
LH bays, under C20 gabled open porch. Plain door to RH bay. Red brick
integral stack to LH gable end. Single storeyed garage block to RH gable end.
hear elevation: narrow 2-storeyed projecting gable with single-storeyed lean-
to addition to RH. 2 external chimney stacks, both partly rebuilt, RH one
fairly substantial. Variety of casement windows. House stands within moated
site.
