east of Doddington hall.

Boat house. Late C18. Probably by Samuel Wyatt. Yellow sandstone
ashlar and red brick. Ashlar frontispiece of three round-headed
arches fronting 3 tunnel vaulted boat houses of brick set into the
bank and covered by earth. River front: Slightly concave wall with
three arches, that at the centre wider with projecting band at level
of springing and keystones, that to the central arch in the form of a
grotesque animal head. To the rear of the central chamber is a flight
of steps beneath a trap door, now ruinous.
